About Mission Vineyards & Cultivars, LLC

Nestled on the historic and breathtaking Old Mission Peninsula of Traverse City, MI - Mission Vineyards and Cultivars is a family-owned and operated vineyard which has been in business since 1955.  The land originated as a general agricultural farm near the turn of 1900; during the 1950's - 1970's the farm was converted to a fruit orchard which produced apples, apricots, cherries, nectarines, peaches, pears and plums.  Starting as an experimental venture in the 1990's, a few acres of cherries were removed to make way for wine grapes

....of which today define Mission Vineyards & Cultivars, LLC.

The products of our hand-cultivated vines have been found in many bottles of Top Scoring vineyards of the region.  Our Riesling, Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio and Gewurztraminer are naturally grown and held to the highest standards in terms of cultivation, ripening and overall quality.

Along with the personal attentive care to our vines and stock, the region itself is part of the magic!  Surrounded by temperature-moderating bays, the Old Mission Peninsula is an ideal and accommodating climate, providing an extended growing/ripening season which is apparent in the quality of the final product.

Spring 2020: Mission Vineyards & Cultivars LLC was founded with a desire to participate in the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (MDARD) Pilot Hemp program.  We will be planting and harvesting CBD Medical Grade Hemp under license of the USDA and the MDARD.
